What You'll Do:

Relate Search has partnered with a growing food manufacturing organization in its search for an experienced Plant Manager to lead a Brooklyn manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operation. This leader will have broad responsibility for plant performance, including production, safety, quality, labor, cost management, and continuous improvement. The opportunity is well suited for a hands-on plant leader who can strengthen operating discipline, develop an established workforce, and help the facility scale for future growth. Success will require balancing strong standards and accountability with a collaborative leadership style and visible presence on the plant floor.

Responsibilities:

· Lead day-to-day plant operations across production, warehousing, safety, sanitation, quality, logistics, workforce planning, and service performance.

· Drive operational excellence through KPIs, Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, labor productivity, waste reduction, downtime improvement, and standardized processes.

· Maintain strong food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, including HACCP, GMP, OSHA, audit readiness, traceability, and corrective action processes.

· Coach and develop plant leaders and employees while building accountability, engagement, succession strength, and effective change adoption within a long-tenured workforce.

· Manage plant financial performance, including operating budgets, labor, maintenance, utilities, capital expenditures, cost reduction initiatives, and P&L-related operating metrics.

Qualifications:

· Proven Plant Manager-level leadership experience in food manufacturing, with experience leading a facility of comparable scale and complexity.

· Fluent bilingual Spanish capability and direct experience leading within a unionized manufacturing environment.

· Strong food safety and operational knowledge, including HACCP, GMP, OSHA, continuous improvement, and measurable plant performance improvement.

· Demonstrated financial and analytical acumen, including experience with plant budgets, labor and productivity metrics, cost control, and P&L performance.

· Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to lead change, develop established teams, solve operational problems, and communicate effectively from the plant floor through senior leadership.

Perks & Benefits:

· Base salary target: $125,000-$150,000, with flexibility up to $175,000 for an exceptional candidate.

· 100% onsite role in Brooklyn, NY.

· High-visibility leadership role with meaningful ownership of plant performance and operational improvement.

· Full-time position in a production environment; typical operating schedule is Sunday-Thursday with a 7:00 AM start, with additional hours as business needs require.
