Pre-Operative Med Physician - Locum

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive care for complex patients with multiple co-morbid conditions. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are expected. In this role, you will support a broad scope of patients and may also coordinate/assist with the multi-disciplinary Senior Surgical Care Program. This opportunity is for local physicians in the Portland, OR metro area with flexibility to work at both pre-operative medicine clinics at the Kaiser Sunnyside and Westside Medical Centers. We ideally would like full‑time support (4‑day work week), but have flexibility to offer less than full‑time after completing a ramp‑up. The compensation for this role is $145.00 per hour, W2, paid bi‑weekly. What You Can Expect Our Pre‑Operative Medicine Team provides comprehensive outpatient medical evaluation and consultation for complex patients scheduled for surgery. The team works closely with the surgeons, anesthesiologists, primary‑care physicians and our consultants to coordinate care prior to surgery. The evaluation involves a thorough history and physical, ordering appropriate labs and imaging, interpreting data and determining if patients are medically optimized prior to their surgical procedure. An experienced support staff. Access to a physician‑friendly advanced Epic EMR. NO CALL DUTIES REQUIRED. Minimum Requirements Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or a Medicine sub‑specialty.
