About the Role:
Guardian Information Services Inc is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Administrator to join our growing IT team in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Assist with network configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Support day-to-day IT operations and respond to network-related help desk tickets
- Assist in managing VPNs, LAN/WAN environments, and wireless networks
- Perform routine network maintenance, updates, and security patches
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports
- Collaborate with senior administrators on infrastructure projects and upgrades
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in network administration or a related IT role
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols
- Familiarity with firewalls, switches, APs and other networking hardware
- Basic understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
