Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care - Sign on Bonus up to $10k

Location & Compensation Newport News, Virginia Sign on Bonus up to $10,000 and qualifies for a $10,000 Student Loan Paydown Benefit. Position requires rotating to all urgent care locations (Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Gloucester). Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts a week, every other weekend. Rotate between 5 MD Express locations. Overview The Licensed Radiologic Technologist performs X‑ray exams requested by a provider, burns X‑rays onto CDs, reviews all radiology reports, and follows up with patients. The role plays a critical part in patient care and flow within the clinic while remaining in compliance with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Position and perform X‑ray exams ordered by provider. Prepare and disinfect exam rooms and equipment. Explain procedures to patients and answer questions. Secure and maintain patient confidentiality. Establish and follow safety standards, complying with legal regulations. Assist practitioners with examinations and procedures. Triage and assess patients, collect and document vital signs. Handle patient phone calls, schedule outpatient testing, and refer to physicians. Clean and stock exam rooms and laboratory areas. Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Run patient specimens, including rapid tests, blood samples on Medonic, Piccolo, Biosite machines, and rapid urine drug screens. Administer oral medications within legal scope of practice. Provide patient education as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Required). Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred). One year of radiologic technician experience (Preferred). Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service. Ability to work with diverse populations. Licenses & Certifications ARRT certification or VA Department of Health professions licensure upon hire (Required). CPR/BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or AHSI upon hire (Required). Other Requirements Weekend shifts. Irregular shifts. Work/float in more than one location. #J-18808-Ljbffr
