Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting in Urbana, IL, with new graduates welcome and Epic EMR experience required.

Details

• Acute care hospital therapy unit
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM schedule
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• Weekend and holiday shifts on a PRN/as-needed basis
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• New graduates will be considered
• Ability to perform patient transfers with assistance as needed
• Skills in clinical documentation, PT diagnosis, examination methods, screening procedures, intervention planning, standardized outcomes measurement, family training, and medical team collaboration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients of all ages, modifying the plan of care as appropriate
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using relevant teaching methods
• Provides supervision to PTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Communicates patient status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition needs clearly with the medical team
• Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect functional performance
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Time off requests may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
