Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) with weekend requirements every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients during the childbirth process, supporting both mothers and infants in a demanding and rewarding environment. Nurses will float between departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient vitals.
• Assist in labor and delivery procedures.
• Provide education and support for breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Manage postpartum care and educate families on care routines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans.
• Maintain patient documentation in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Active CA state nursing license (compact license accepted).
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate, BLS.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
