Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Location

Rochester, NY | Endoscopy / Procedural Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Varying day off based on department needs; same day off each week and Monday/Friday off cannot be expected | On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4–6 shifts per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an endoscopy setting for procedural-based diagnoses including pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric conditions, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures
• Assist with and support specialized procedures including EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry systems
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placement as a required competency for all RNs on unit
• Float to Pre-Anesthesia and PACU areas as needed based on department requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an endoscopy, procedural, or GI nursing setting
• Familiarity with advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, EUS, or Navigational Bronchoscopy
• Experience floating between Pre-Anesthesia and PACU environments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
