Bridge CAD/BIM Specialist

In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Specialist, we'll count on you to:Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design softwareDevelop details for concrete and steel bridges, which may include prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel plate girder.Typical projects will be for highway projectsDemonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineersAttention to detail is highly desirableSupport Development of 3D Bridge ModelsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsAssociate’s degree in engineering technologyStrong computer skills using Microsoft OfficeExperience in bridge structural draftingExperience working with BrIM, OBM, ORD or other 3D CAD softwareExperience and knowledge of TxDOT CAD Standards, knowledge and experience of other DOT Standards is a plus.Preference given to local candidatesQualificationsRequired Qualifications Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructureCompetency of Microsoft Office products and communication toolsExcellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essentialBasic understanding of engineering or architectural conceptsWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
