Pay: Starting at $33.96 per hour ($47,556 per school year)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:35 AM – 2:35 PM

Founded in 1986, Falk School serves students ages 5–21 across four Western New York campuses through highly structured classrooms and individualized educational supports. As an affiliate of Child & Family Services, we are committed to helping students build the academic, behavioral, and life skills needed to thrive.

Our classrooms are intentionally small—typically six students supported by one teacher and one teacher aide—allowing educators to develop meaningful relationships while providing individualized instruction and support.

As a World Language Teacher at our Cambridge Campus , you'll provide engaging language instruction to students in grades 7–12 while adapting lessons to meet a variety of academic, behavioral, and learning needs. You'll help students develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence while creating meaningful opportunities to explore another language and culture.

• Develop and deliver engaging World Language instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards
• Provide instruction in the teacher's certified language area to students in grades 7–12
• Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language
• Incorporate cultural learning and authentic experiences to build students' understanding and appreciation of other languages and cultures
• Adapt lessons, assignments, and assessments to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and learning needs of students with disabilities
• Implement students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), accommodations, and Behavior Intervention Plans as applicable
• Assess student learning using formal and informal methods and maintain accurate progress and instructional records
• Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and language development
• Prepare instructional materials, assignments, activities, and assessments
• Collaborate with special education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Support students in developing social-emotional skills, self-regulation, and problem-solving abilities
• Utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques when necessary to maintain a safe learning environment
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other duties as assigned

• Valid New York State teaching certification in an applicable World Language/LOTE content area required
• Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards for World Languages
• Experience teaching a World Language at the middle and/or high school level preferred
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills
• Commitment to building meaningful relationships with students and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
