Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring step-down/ICU experience and ACLS/NIHSS certification.

Details

• 22-bed Progressive Care unit on the 4th floor of a 154-bed hospital
• Cardiac specialty including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversions
• Adult patient population with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Uses telemetry equipment and Paragon EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required
• Step-down or ICU experience required
• Strong communication skills and flexibility required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for cardiac and post-cath lab patients, including cardioversion monitoring
• Work within a team-oriented environment with a focus on flexibility and communication
• Navy scrubs required; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops not permitted
• Local candidates considered at a local rate; must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
