About the Role
Vivo Healthcare Wauchula is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (Per Diem) to join our team. As part of our mission to make a difference, our ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our patients and residents, working closely with our rehabilitation staff and skilled nursing experts to ensure the highest level of care.
Responsibilities
Provide speech-language pathology services to patients and residents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care
Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress
Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing techniques
Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current certification in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Experience working in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting (n/a)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
