Registered Nurse - Float Pool Position Location Needham Hospital Position Details Contract guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked. Shift 12-hour rotating shifts with weekends and holidays expected. Role Description This is a float pool position requiring coverage across all Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as needed. The nurse will also be expected to float to similar units and overflow areas. Testing and Onboarding Pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests are required during onboarding, with only one attempt allowed to pass. Tests are administered remotely via Zoom Protector meeting prior to assignment. RNs must complete testing within 48 hours of offer. An 85% passing score is required; no remediation or retake opportunities are provided. Preparation is strongly recommended using the provided study guide, which includes tips and answers. Minimum Requirements Registered Nurse license. At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience. Ability to pass the Telemetry Competency Exam. Current AHA BLS certification. ACLS AHA certificate required. Documented professional development activities. Knowledge of critical paths. Charge nurse experience preferred. Additional Information Orientation sessions are held biweekly. Nurse Manager will conduct interviews and extend offers.
