This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.About the Role:As a Senior Global Supply Manager, Machining, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, and more to design and scale both existing and novel supply chains in the sourcing and development of complex machined components that create a competitive advantage for the enterprise.Lead sourcing and supplier management for custom machined components and major vehicle structures ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are achievedDevelop and execute supply chain strategies, including supplier selection, long-term agreements, and capacity planning to support Terran-R build schedulesPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning to influence design for manufacturability and align procurement with program milestonesDrive supplier performance through rigorous risk management, contract negotiations, and milestone-based trackingMentor and support team members, building expertise in precision machining processes and supplier developmentAct as a thought leader for machining commodities, continuously improving sourcing processes, supplier health, and program readinessAbout You:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field7+ years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurementDemonstrated experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commoditiesProven track record of negotiating contracts and managing milestone-based agreementsHands-on experience with ERP systems (LN, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 5-axis milling, turning, precision grinding, EDM, and tight-tolerance fabricationDirect experience managing machining commodities in aerospace (CNC machined components, castings, forgings, sheet metal fabrication, extrusions, etc.)Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP standards (specifically for machining processes), supplier qualifications, and audit processesProven success driving supplier performance improvements through KPIs, recovery plans, and long-term agreementsNew Product Development (NPD) or Introduction (NPI) supply chain experience, preferably within aerospace or frontier technology industriesProficiency in supplier risk assessment, machining cost modeling, and capacity planningUnderstanding of material specifications, surface treatments, and inspection requirements for aerospace-grade machined partsNice to haves but not required:MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, or EngineeringAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
