We value work-life balance and provide regular opportunities for engagement and feedback through monthly remote and in-person meetings.Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.Qualifications:Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience.Authorized to work in the United States.Scheduling:Physician coverage 24 hrs a day (2, 12-hour shifts) plus 12-hour fellowship coverage a day.Key Responsibilities:Provide care in a smaller, community-based hospital with a level III trauma designation and a 24-bed Emergency Department.Manage a variety of emergency cases.Collaborate closely with Sound’s hospital medicine team to ensure a seamless transition of care.Work within a multidisciplinary environment supported by 24/7 specialty coverage, including cardiology with a cath lab, general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics with spine care, neurology (with telestroke support), psychiatry (with an on-site inpatient behavioral health unit), oncology, and nephrology with dialysis capabilities in the ICU.Living and Working in Sierra Vista:Sierra Vista, located an hour southeast of Tucson and nestled among scenic mountains, offers an easy commute to Phoenix. Due to nearby Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista has a significant military and veteran population.
