Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have: Trauma experience, Stroke experience, STEMI experience, Sepsis experience, Moderate Sedation experience Description: We are seeking a registered nurse in the emergency department. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine. The hospital provides healthcare services to a diverse population. It is a level III trauma center with state-of-the-art operating suites. The emergency department has 48 beds with flex space. The patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in the fast track area. Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, and Ultrasound Guided IV. The electronic health record system is Cerner. Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, and chest pain. The position utilizes a team nursing approach with an assigned social worker and unit educator. Weekend work is required for a minimum of two weekends in a schedule. No float requirements are necessary.
