Senior Investment Risk Manager - Fixed Income | NYC | Hybrid

A leading global investment firm is looking to add a Senior Investment Risk Manager to its Fixed Income Risk team. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced investment risk professional who can serve as a strategic risk partner to Portfolio Managers and eventually take ownership of a dedicated fixed-income coverage area. Compensation: $185,000-195,000 Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 3 days/week The Role Partner directly with Fixed Income Portfolio Managers to assess portfolio risk and exposures Analyze portfolio construction, risk drivers, scenarios, and investment guidelines Use quantitative analysis to identify potential risks and influence investment decisions Interpret outputs from risk platforms such as Barra and BlackRock Aladdin Develop and enhance risk analysis and processes across the broader investment platform Serve as the go-to risk partner for assigned fixed-income strategies, with significant autonomy and ownership What We\'re Looking For 5–10+ years of experience in investment risk, fixed income risk, market risk, quantitative analysis, or a related field Strong fixed income experience; municipal bonds are highly desirable but not required Open to candidates from asset managers or investment banks , particularly those in market risk, fixed income risk, quantitative risk, or investment risk Experience across municipal bonds, IG credit, high yield, loans, securitized/structured products, or multisector fixed income Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk models and apply findings to portfolios Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior investment professionals Quantitative academic background in finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field preferred This is an opportunity to take significant ownership within a growing Investment Risk organization and help shape how fixed-income risk is managed across the platform.
