Transportation Engineer

Responsibilities Lead and support the development of roadway geometric design, drainage, and traffic control plans Prepare and review construction documents, plan sets, and specifications for transportation projects Perform complex calculations including horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, and quantities Assist with cost estimates, bid document preparation, and design schedule management Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers Qualifications/experience needed Minimum 4+ years of experience in roadway/transportation design Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, and/or OpenRoads Designer required Solid knowledge of AASHTO and state DOT roadway design standards EIT required minimum; working toward PE license.
