Process Technician

The Process Technician operates process equipment, both the blend tank system and the hot fill system. They ensure smooth and consistent operation of equipment to ensure product is manufactured and packaged in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Each responsibility is performed in accordance with health and safety, quality, and food safety procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring equipment is operating effectively, reporting, and communicating deficiencies with the production supervisor. Operating equipment according to SOPs.
• Working with the lead material handler to ensure proper raw materials are staged and prepped for production and with quality department to inspect raw materials.
• Following specific recipes provided by production manager.
• Following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and safety standards.
• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements include:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to become proficient with process equipment.
• Quality conscious and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities as well as easily adapt to changing situations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work environment/physical requirements include:

• Exposed to a combination of food production environments and normal office environments.
• Frequent interaction with team members and other departments, requiring effective communication and collaboration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and over the phone.
• Required to stand and walk for duration of shift, and bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions frequently.
• Required to lift and maneuver 50lbs regularly.

• Handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner so that the customer is put first, always.
• Participate fully in Finlays Solutions programs that drive continuous improvement methodologies.
