Contract | 10-Week Assignment | Nights, 4×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with expected ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 in the event of unplanned staffing absences
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to rapid response situations as needed
• Administer insulin and manage patients requiring Med/Surg and MS/Tele level care
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call availability on a PRN basis during low census periods
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet facility needs as required

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR
• Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at this facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• ACLS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred

• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
