Key qualifications and experience:
- Completion of a specialist-level degree (Ed.S., MA, MS, or higher) in School Psychology
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with psychological assessments, IEP processes, and counseling in a K-12 setting
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
- Up-to-date knowledge of MT state and federal regulations governing school psychological services
- Compassionate, student-centered, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support students’ academic and behavioral success
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in alignment with student needs
- Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective strategies for learning and social-emotional growth
- Collect and interpret data to inform evidence-based interventions and measure student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings to ensure compliance with special education laws
