Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties specific to the scope of ED nursing.
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with providers, families, and patients.
- Implement and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards and reporting/correcting hazards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
- Communicate effectively with staff, visitors, and families to foster a healthy work environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers for professional development.
- Identify personal learning needs and seek solutions.
- Fulfill departmental competencies.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Illinois RN License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS), or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
