Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed unit serving adult to geriatric post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurology, and general surgery populations
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:6 in alignment with unit standards
• Document and manage patient care using Epic (required) , Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend as scheduled, unless otherwise specified
• Work applicable major holidays that fall within the assignment period per facility holiday policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• BLS certification required
• Epic proficiency required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or onsite, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical patient populations including orthopedic, bariatric, or neurological care
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong SBAR communication skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
