Facilities Cleaning Specialist

Day Shift Janitorial Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a professional, customer-oriented Day Shift Janitorial Specialist to maintain our facility to the highest cleanliness standards. This role is responsible for ensuring all office areas, common spaces, and customer-facing environments remain pristine throughout the day while providing exceptional service with a positive attitude. Responsibilities Maintain immaculate cleanliness throughout office areas, meeting rooms, and common spaces. Perform regular spot cleaning of break areas, marketing centers, and cafeteria spaces. Continuously monitor and replenish paper products and supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and other areas. Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spill incidents during business hours. Communicate facility issues, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to the Facilities Supervisor. Assist other janitorial team members in various areas of the building as needed. Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with employees and customers. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures. Support special events or meetings with additional cleaning services as required. Work collaboratively as part of the facilities team to ensure all areas meet quality standards. Qualifications Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to work independently while following established procedures. Professional appearance and communication skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, products, and equipment. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist others. Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of supplies and equipment. Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to clean various surfaces. Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies. Pushing and pulling cleaning carts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Climbing step stools or small ladders to safely reach high areas. Stamina to maintain productivity throughout an entire shift. Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a professional appearance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
