Job Responsibilities Work with written inspection procedures, drawings, and engineering manuals to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gauges, and equipment. Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results according to work instructions. Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine the extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork. Follow proper procedures for inspection checks and dimensional verification, ensuring work instructions are followed. Recognize the need to repair or replace measuring equipment and arrange for replacements as required. Maintain inspection stamps and other required documentation. Manage multiple competing priorities and adjust shifts as needed for training and workflow. Support continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives. Perform additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this job description as assigned. Familiarity with precision measuring equipment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Proficiency in shop math.
