Intermediate Math Facilitator/Instructional Coach (Grades 4-6)

Job Summary

The Math Facilitator serves as an instructional leader who supports teachers and students in grades 4-6 by improving mathematics instruction, increasing student achievement, and promoting best instructional practices. The facilitator works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to analyze data, provide coaching, model effective instructional strategies, and ensure alignment with state standards and district initiatives.

This position may be filled as a full-time or part-time interim position. The selected candidate's schedule, responsibilities, and compensation will be determined according to the assigned employment status.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of high-quality mathematics instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum.
  • Model effective teaching strategies, lessons, and classroom practices.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing data and planning rigorous, standards-based lessons, interventions, and assessments.
  • Promote the use of research-based instructional strategies that increase student engagement and achievement.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to teachers
  • Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on mathematics instruction and student achievement.
  • Plan and deliver professional development sessions based on teacher and student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding instructional initiatives and student achievement goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with staff.
Job Qualifications
  • Valid state teaching license.
  • Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably in upper elementary or middle-level mathematics.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics content and pedagogy for grades 4-6.
  • Experience teaching mathematics
  • Knowledge of curriculum design, assessment practices, and instructional strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
