At Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Level 3) to join the Proprietary Program Management team in San Antonio, TX! The Proprietary Program within Executive Transportation has an opening for a project manager in a dynamic aircraft modification environment. Our team integrates a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and operations staff in the modifications of VIP aircraft. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross‑functional environment, and utilize problem‑solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities. Position Responsibilities Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards. Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 1+ years of experience leading cross‑functional teams Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Bachelor’s Degree or higher EVM trained / CAM Certified Experience with RIO (Risk, Issues, and Opportunities) in project planning Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for $94,350 - $127,650 Export Control Requirements This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
