Safety Manager

Safety ProfessionalSouthland Holdings is seeking a highly motivated Safety Professional for our project in Austin, TX to support the safety department in ensuring the implementation and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and practices across the organization. Candidate must possess integrity, safety knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate. Essential duties and responsibilities include:Leading daily safety meetings to promote awareness and compliance.Conducting regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites.Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Completing detailed accident reports and conducting thorough accident investigations.Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforcing adherence to safety procedures.Monitoring safety programs and recommending improvements as needed.Providing safety training and orientation for new employees and contractors.Developing job hazard analysis (JHA) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) documentation.Staying current with OSHA regulations and evolving industry safety standards.Actively promoting a safety-conscious culture within the company.Requirements include:4+ years of relevant construction experience, preferably with water/wastewater, pipe, concrete, and TunnelingOSHA 30 hour in Construction certificationOSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER is a plusTraining in CHST; STSC; OSHA 510; 500, 502, ACOE EM-385-1-1 is a plusFirst Aid/CPR certifiedExperience with Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and ExcavationWilling to travel/relocateASP and CHST RequiredBenefits (Full-time):401K & 401K MatchingDental InsuranceHealth InsuranceLife InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Referral ProgramWeekly payrollBuilding Great Things.
