This position is based out of our corporate office in Greenville, SC.


The Staff Accountant I perform a wide variety of accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting records for a combination of general accounting and cost systems. Duties include a wide range of exposure to payroll taxes, sales commission statements, import duty computations, inventory observations and paperwork systems.

Crew Position:

• Perform month end closing, including account analysis and journal entries, of retail, wholesale, manufacturing and distribution for specific operating groups or business units, as assigned.
  
• Analyze variances and trends on financial statements.
  
• Prepare account reconciliation including inventory, prepaids and accruals.
  
• Receive and reconcile incoming inventory receipts.
  
• Process miscellaneous accounts payable transactions.
  
• Handle accounts receivable duties at the brand level, working closely with Oxford Credit department (i.e., chargeback and account research).
  
• Communicate with Oxford controllership team on accounting issues.
  
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for account analysis and reconciliation.
  
• Monitor Credit Card activity and process monthly accruals and payments.

Know the ropes...

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
• 1+ years accounting or related experience.
  
• Computer literate on an intermediate level in Microsoft suite of products - Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
