This includes investigation and resolution of assay failures during in-process/pre/post fill reagent testing, maintenance of bills of materials and material specification changes due to new material qualification or supplier changes, and updating/correcting SOPs in compliance with current quality system standards. There will be opportunities to tackle problems to keep reagents moving through the value stream to serve our customers with high-quality finished goods.This position is an integral part of the Reagent Operations department located in Chaska, Minnesota, and will be on-site. If you thrive in a fast-paced and data-driven role and want to work to build a world-class manufacturing organization—read on!In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Provide technical expertise and direction in multiple Immunoassay manufacturing areas, primarily the purification manufacturing work cellLead multi-department teams to support/resolve non-conforming issues for existing products.Assess manufacturing processes and systems and implement improvements aimed at performance, quality, and cost.Communicate investigation status reports, proposals for further investigation, etc., via oral and written reports; Develop and implement changes to existing documentation in a timely manner.Solve immunoassay testing and manufacturing issues as they arise.The essential requirements of the job include:Biochemistry, chemistry, or biology (or related field) Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of industry experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience or Doctoral degreeExperience in a regulated industry preferred (e.g. FDA, ISO)Strong technical understanding of biochemical/immunoassay processes and experience analyzing and interpreting data.Subject matter expertise in protein purification techniquesIn depth knowledge and expertise of chromatography methods (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion) and analytical methods (HPLC, UPLC, IEP, IEF, SDS PAGE)Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb, any other physical requirementsIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Project Management experienceManufacturing of biologicals or pharmaceuticalsValidation/verification experienceBeckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
