The EPS Production Supervisor leads daily operations within the EPS manufacturing area, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role also oversees team performance, coordinates workflow, supports equipment reliability, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations & Workflow Management

1. Lead daily EPS production activities and ensure output meets safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
2. Assign and coordinate work to maintain balanced workflow across all production lines.
3. Monitor production performance and adjust priorities to address bottlenecks or delays.
4. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct routine safety checks.
5. Verify product quality and respond quickly to deviations or defects.
6. Maintain accurate production records including shift reports, downtime logs, and KPI data.
7. Support equipment reliability by communicating issues promptly and coordinating with Maintenance.
8. Ensure adherence to standard work and operational procedures

People Leadership & Team Development

1. Provide daily leadership to production team members to maintain engagement and accountability.
2. Deliver coaching and feedback to support skill development and performance improvement.
3. Train team members on equipment operation, safety practices, and production processes.
4. Promote a positive work environment that supports teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
5. Manage attendance, performance, and conduct in alignment with company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

1. Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to support equipment uptime and process improvements.
2. Coordinate with Quality to resolve product or process issues.
3. Communicate production status clearly during shift handoffs and team meetings.
4. Support material flow by collaborating with Supply Chain to ensure adequate inventory.
5. Participate in planning meetings to align goals, priorities, and improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

1. Identify improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, and productivity.
2. Support Lean and 5S initiatives to strengthen workplace organization and efficiency.
3. Recommend process adjustments to reduce waste and improve throughput.
4. Ensure accurate documentation for work instructions, procedures, and training materials.
5. Contribute to long-term operational planning through data-driven insights.

Position Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. 3 – 5 years of manufacturing experience, including leadership or lead-operator responsibilities.
3. Strong understanding of production workflows, safety practices, and quality standards.
4. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with ERP/production systems.
5. Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and basic technical documentation.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
7. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to work flexible hours as required.
9. Performs other duties and assigned special projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Associate degree or technical training.
2. Background in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement.
3. Understanding of basic mechanical troubleshooting.

Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements:

1. Standing / Walking
   • This position requires standing and walking throughout the entire shift while working on the production floor.
2. Bending
   • Frequent bending is required to inspect equipment or assist with production-related tasks.
3. Lifting / Carrying
   • Must be able to lift and stack banded door panels to various heights.
   • Maximum individual lift limit is 45 pounds.
   • Frequency of lifting and carrying varies based on assigned tasks.
4. Pushing / Pulling
   • A force of up to 50 pounds is required to push and/or pull
   • Tasks requiring push forces above 50 pounds must be performed by two team members.
5. Manual Dexterity
   • Ability to handle tools, operate equipment controls, and perform repetitive motions.
