Project Manager - Program Management (Fort Worth)

DescriptionOur Transmission & Distribution Global Practice is looking for a Project Manager to support our North Texas Region, primarily in our Fort Worth, Texas office. The Project Manager is responsible for leading a diverse team of stakeholders from multiple entities in the successful delivery of complex projects, from inception through final close-out, including the development and implementation of processes, procedures, strategy, execution plans, resource planning, risk management, and reporting tools. The Project Manager will lead the team in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety and overall outstanding service.Lead the development and execution of overall strategic business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives provided by the client or Burns & McDonnell.Provide leadership to the Project team; direct and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team, and ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.Responsible for management of Project budget and expenditure of funds.Achieve stated targets and standards for the Project financial performance.Present monthly financial information to leadership including project revenue forecasts.Support strategies for cross-selling engineering services across the organization.Attend bi-weekly team coordination and monthly stakeholder meetings.Support monthly reporting requirements by assessing project risk, program status, and coordination with controls team for schedule and financial updates. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from an accredited program and 7 years related experience in the electric utility or construction industry.Experience leading a multi-discipline project team.Strong experience in client and business development.Expert experience in managing projects, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, project controls, system integration, owner’s engineering, real estate acquisition, permitting, environmental compliance, construction management, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.Excellent planning and analytical skills.Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.Travel to the project location may be required depending on client and responsibilities.
