As a hemodialysis registered nurse (RN), you will practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy within our 340+ bed acute care hospital, providing life-sustaining renal replacement therapies across the intensive care units (ICU), step-down floors, and dedicated treatment suites. Operating at the absolute top of your nursing license, you will manage complex, high-impact treatments and procedures, including acute and chronic hemodialysis (HD), peritoneal dialysis (PD) management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), fluid volume balance tracking, and advanced vascular access management such as the cannulation of AV fistulas, AV grafts, and central venous catheters (CVC). Choosing a career within this vital service line means collaborating with board-certified nephrologists in a facility celebrated for its strict patient-safety standards, standing proud as the only hospital in Pasadena holding both chest pain center accreditation with primary PCI and resuscitation from the American College of Cardiology and full accreditation from The Joint Commission.Job Summary and QualificationsAs a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.What you will do in this role:Assess the patients condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients medical record.
