All while understanding that together we are even better.All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability InsurancePaid Time Off from Day One403-B Retirement Plan4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental LeaveCareer DevelopmentWhole Person Well-being ResourcesMental Health Resources and SupportPet BenefitsSchedule: PRNShift: Day (United States of America)Location: 2200 Fowler Grove Blvd, suite 060, Winter Garden, FL 34787Job Description:Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies).Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgroundsKnowledge of MRI proceduresKnowledge of MRI scannersAbility to learn and grow with new technologyCustomer Service skillsMRI SafetyBasic IV skillsAbility to work well in a constantly changing environmentAbility to work flexibly in variable shifts, occasionally including weekends or holidaysAbility to understand medical terminologyAbility to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionalsMust be able to read, write and speak conversational EnglishBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeGeneral computer skills and PACSGeneral physics and anatomyExperience/knowledge of computers/networkingAbility to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and proceduresMaintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual educationMust maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging proceduresAbility to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staffAbility to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detailExcellent customer service skillsAbility to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnelExcellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organizationEducation:Associate [Preferred]High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Work Experience:1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]Additional Information:Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
