RN - PCU/Stepdown

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiac Stepdown unit. This role will involve providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population consisting of adults to geriatrics. Ideal candidates will possess a strong clinical skill set and a commitment to patient-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesAdmit and manage patients from various units including CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and ED.Provide post-operative care for CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.Monitor and treat respiratory failure using multiple treatment modalities excluding invasive mechanical ventilation.Manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, GI bleeds, trauma, CVA, seizures, CIWA, metabolic disorders, renal failure, GI disorders, hypertensive emergencies, sepsis, and neuro disorders.Utilize electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology efficiently.Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing role; first-time travelers are welcomed.Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and handle a diverse case load.Experience with Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPap, and CPAP preferred.Work Environment32-bed unit with an average daily census of 21, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4.Shifts are 3 twelve-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.Every other weekend commitment unless otherwise specified.Floating within the facility/scope of practice may be required as needed.Other RequirementsReturn to office (RTO) of a maximum of 7 days will be adhered to.Compliance with full onboarding requirements is essential for timely start.A maximum of 10 non-billable orientation hours may be required based on contract length.Major holiday availability is required; expectations align with both holiday schedules.Scrub Color: Navy BlueIf you are a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic care environment, we encourage you to apply.
