Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always. The Driver I role supports safe and efficient operations by operating a roll-off truck to load and unload materials and assisting with general yard and production activities. This role also helps monitor, clean, and inspect plant production equipment, maintains a clean work area, and works closely with teammates to support daily operations.

Duties of the role include but are not limited to: Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Operate a roll-off truck to load and unload materials. Work a 1st shift schedule of 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation. Monitor, clean, and inspect plant production equipment to ensure proper operation. Assist other teammates as needed. Perform cleanup and other duties as assigned by management.

Required: Experience working in an industrial or outdoor environment. Ability to drive equipment under varying working conditions. Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment. Reliable and dependable attendance. Preferred: Experience driving a straight truck, roll-off truck, or box truck. Commercial Driver License (CDL).
