BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Cincinnati, Ohio . This is a great opportunity for a motivated maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in property appearance, and has experience in the apartment industry.

The primary focus of this position will be apartment turns and make-ready work , helping prepare units for new residents. Candidates should be comfortable performing a variety of maintenance tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Assistance with grounds maintenance may also be required as business needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:

• Completing apartment turns and make-ready projects efficiently and thoroughly
• Preparing vacant units for occupancy by addressing maintenance and cosmetic needs
• Performing general maintenance repairs as assigned
• Assisting with painting, drywall repair, fixture replacement, and basic unit maintenance
• Supporting property upkeep and curb appeal efforts
• Assisting with grounds maintenance and community appearance as needed
• Identifying maintenance concerns and reporting issues appropriately
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and meets community standards
• Working collaboratively with the maintenance team and property staff

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous apartment industry maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of general maintenance and make-ready procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Reliable transportation to and from the property
• Basic maintenance tools required, including:
  • Hammer
  • Drill
  • Screwdrivers
  • Other standard hand tools

Dress Code & Safety Requirements

To maintain a professional appearance on-site, team members must adhere to the following uniform requirements:

• Blue or navy work shirt
• Tan or black work pants
• Work boots
