A mid-Atlantic general contracting company based out of St. Albans, West Virginia is seeking an eager and enthusiastic individual to join a growing team. This is a primarily field-based surveying role with occasional office work as needed.

The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and associated calculations. The role involves extensive hands-on fieldwork on project sites operating survey equipment, with some CAD and office-based work as required.

Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and conventional surveying technologies and techniques is required. Familiarity with Trimble equipment and Civil 3D software is a plus.

This is a highly flexible, task-driven role where the candidate will largely manage their own schedule based on project assignments and field requirements. The majority of time will be spent in the field rather than in the office, though periodic reporting and CAD work in the St. Albans office will be expected.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. No professional license is required for this position; both licensed and non-licensed field survey professionals will be considered.

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with a salary range typically starting around $60,000-$70,000, and up to approximately $75,000 for highly experienced candidates.

Strong field experience and the ability to independently operate surveying equipment on active construction sites are key priorities for this role.
