Villa Fairmont is a 97-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness and repeated hospitalizations. Shifts Available On Call; Shift Hours and Days vary as needed. Expected starting wage: $21 hourly. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is subject to union membership requirements upon hire. Mission Statement Telecare will deliver and manage excellent services and systems of care for persons with serious mental illness. Position Objective The Housekeeper performs tasks that involve cleaning and servicing the building areas of the facility, maintaining it in an orderly, sanitary and attractive condition. Qualifications

• One (1) year of relevant experience in the hotel, motel, health care or a similar environment (health care experience preferred).
• High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; good communication skills and desire to work with mentally impaired adults are crucial.
• Applicant must be fingerprinted, sign as per DOJ clearance, and disclose any criminal convictions (excluding minor traffic offenses).

Thoroughly and consistently performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, washing and shampooing floor surfaces. Cleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephone areas and vents. Scours, polishes and sanitizes sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles. Empties waste receptacles and cleans solid waste containers; transports medical waste to outside storeroom as directed. Washes windows and walls, including removal of draperies and rugs as directed. Washes mops, rags and linen as directed. Gathers and returns needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms as directed. Distributes clean laundry from the linen closet to nursing staff as directed. Collects dirty laundry from nursing areas and moves it to the loading area for pickup as directed. Team Member Participation Participates as a team member and provides input via observations, concerns and appropriate questions. Judgment, Decision Making and Initiative Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies. Reports defective equipment or needed repairs to supervisor. Executes facility Fire, Disaster and Safety procedures as required. Assists with management of assaultive behavior upon clinical staff request. Reports fire and accident hazards to supervisor.
