CAFE MANAGER

Café Manager

As the Café Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the café from open to close, ensuring an exceptional experience for guests while maintaining high standards for quality, service, sanitation, and financial performance.

You'll lead and develop a team, manage daily operations, and work closely with culinary and hospitality partners to ensure the café runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys developing people and creating an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily café operations from opening through closing while maintaining established quality and cost standards.
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop employees and entry-level managers.
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct employee meetings, performance reviews, and development activities.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and overall café presentation.
• Monitor daily volume trends and utilize reporting to support operational decisions.
• Plan, market, and execute café promotions, special events, and engagement activities.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure proper use of foodservice equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company and client policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Partner with culinary and operations teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
• Support additional operational initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of upscale foodservice or hospitality experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
• Proven experience supervising, scheduling, training, coaching, and developing teams.
• Strong understanding of foodservice operations, cash handling, and equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
• Passion for hospitality, team development, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
