Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a  dynamic, compassionate Clinical Faculty/Teaching Physician  to join our team in  Las Cruces, New Mexico . What You’ll Do:

• Engage students in hands-on  clinical skills training, case-based learning, and lectures .
• Guide future physicians through  physical exams, SOAP notes, and patient interviewing .
• Play a key role in  curriculum development and innovation .
• Provide  mentorship and career advising , shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with a  multidisciplinary faculty team  to enhance student learning experiences.
• Assess student progress, ensuring high standards of medical education.
• Optional:   Pursue limited clinical work , maintaining real-world experience while teaching.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree  with completed residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible (within two years of residency completion).
• Passion for  medical education, mentorship, and student success .
• Strong  communication, collaboration, and leadership skills .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialty in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine .
• Experience in  pre-clinical teaching, curriculum development, or medical simulation .
• Interest in  innovative educational methodologies and course design .
• Prior academic leadership experience is a plus.

• This job is conducted in an office work environment.
• Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require the use of a computer.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
• Travel may be required.

Work Schedule:

• Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
