Responsible for ensuring all work is performed in accordance to local building codes. Performs preventive carpentry and other maintenance work as assigned in order to keep hospital running smoothly, including but not limited to: adding floors and steel wall structures, painting, and identifying and resolving regulatory compliance deficiencies.* Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson* Constructs, installs, finishes and maintains structures such as partitions, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, equipment, furniture, and other parts of the hospital building to keep appearance and hospital in top condition.* Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives; works on top of stilts, ladders, and the top beams of buildings.* Prepares layouts of rooms and/or areas for renovations using blue prints, sketches, or verbal instruction.* Takes measurements and calculates the size and amount of material needed.
