Senior Family Law Immigration Attorney

We are looking for a Senior Family Law Immigration Attorney to join our growing firm. You will be responsible for all aspects of family immigration, deportation defense and business immigration law cases. This will include filing legal documents, attending court proceedings, participating in mediation sessions, and providing guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication. You would assist in attorney development, and creating standards of operation, in addition to handling your own caseload.

Our Senior Attorney directs law office operations, case assignments, and staffing within the Family Law Department. They also monitor case status, timelines, and issues. Our Senior Attorneys mentor and coach attorneys and implement staff professional development programs. Requires a JD. Requires admittance to the Texas Bar. Family Law Attorney may also provide litigation, advocacy, and other support center services to the public interest and the legal services community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee law office operations including establishing the law firm structure, communicating and enforcing team values, and contributing to strategic business decisions to achieve our overall company goals.

• Coordinate, train, motivate, and develop, associate attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to strengthen our legal team.

• The candidate should be able to manage a full caseload of family law cases of varying degrees of complexity. Will be opening new files, creating litigation plans, conducting discovery, making court appearances, and trying cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction

• Ensure that the firm is achieving its client satisfaction goals by evaluating productivity and quality of service and making recommendations for improvement

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor's degree, along with a three-year law degree from an accredited law school

• At least 5 years of experience as an attorney within Family Law

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Experience with Case Management Software required

• Active member of the TX State Bar and local bar associations

• Decision-making, public speaking and supervisory experience is required

• Advanced proficiency in computer skills and reviewing reports.
