Position: Per-diem Hours: Flexible Hours, Evenings Weekends Start Date: Immediately/ppAs a Home Care PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN), you will experience a special energy and excitement from your work as you join a team of individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital setting./ppAs a Home Infusion Registered Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in out patients homes while:/pulliCompassionately taking care of patients in order to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own home by using your clinical IV capabilities and personal touch./liliSkillfully providing one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physicians plan of treatment./liliAssessing the patients condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals./liliEstablishing trust and building therapeutically effective relationships with our clients and their families./li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliActive and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY/liliTwo (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting)/liliExperience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medications/liliStrong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) troubleshooting issues that may arise/liliPossess a valid and current drivers license and auto insurance/registration/liliAbility to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc./liliHave and maintain current CPR / BLS certification/liliKnowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations/liliHold current Malpractice Insurance/liliHave experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity/li/ulpFounded in 2008, UniversaCare is a fully licensed and growing Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area and is continually expanding throughout the Northeast.
