We are seeking a Store Manager to lead daily venue operations, set the tone for our team culture, and ensure every guest leaves with an exceptional experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role —ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, customer-facing environments and enjoys leading from the front.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: ~40 hours/week
• Schedule: Friday through Tuesday required
• Salary Range: $45,000 – $58,000 (based on experience)

What This Role Is (and Is Not)

This role IS:

• A hands-on operations and people-leadership position
• Responsible for staff performance, guest experience, and day-to-day execution
• A key leadership role with autonomy in daily decision-making

This role is NOT:

• A corporate General Manager role
• A bookkeeping or accounting position
• A desk-only management job

Accounting, payroll processing, and high-level financials are handled by ownership/corporate support.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

• Train, schedule, supervise, and coach a team of Game Masters
• Set expectations and maintain a positive, accountable team culture
• Ensure proper staffing levels for daily operations

Guest Experience

• Deliver consistently exceptional customer service
• Handle escalated guest issues professionally and decisively
• Encourage positive guest reviews through memorable interactions

Facility & Game Operations

• Oversee proper game resets and room readiness between sessions
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on rooms and props
• Ensure all experiences meet Escapology brand standards—every time

Administrative & Organizational Tasks

• Create and manage staff schedules
• Review timecards and daily reports
• Follow company procedures and operational checklists
• Communicate effectively with ownership regarding issues, staffing, and improvements

What Success Looks Like

• Games start on time and run smoothly
• Rooms are reset perfectly, every time
• Staff are trained, confident, and engaged
• Guests leave happy—and recommend us online
• The venue operates smoothly without constant owner intervention

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or customer service management preferred
• Experience leading teams of 5+ employees
• Comfortable using computers and basic office software
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
• OR equivalent management experience in hospitality, retail, or military leadership

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 45 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to climb a 3-foot ladder as needed
