Lab Assistant
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Tampa, Florida facility to receive, process, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role includes equipment maintenance, data entry, and adherence to laboratory safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Sunday–Thursday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Monitor lab equipment functionality and conduct routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain supply inventory
- Complete administrative logs and maintain clean, safe work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling and accurately identifying biological specimens
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail with multitasking capability
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in production setting
