A growing Charlotte-area legal organization is adding a senior-level attorney to support continued expansion and strengthen leadership across its domestic relations practice. This position is designed for an experienced litigator who enjoys balancing sophisticated client representation with team guidance, operational contribution, and long-term practice development. Rather than functioning solely as an individual contributor, this individual will serve as a trusted resource across case execution, attorney development, and day-to-day legal operations.

This attorney will maintain ownership of active legal matters while also helping shape consistency, quality standards, and team effectiveness across the practice. The role offers the opportunity to remain connected to advocacy work while expanding influence beyond an individual docket.
Background That Will Translate Well
- Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing
- Prior exposure to family law matters strongly preferred
- Demonstrated litigation experience and comfort appearing before the court
- History of independently managing active legal matters
- Experience overseeing, coaching, or developing legal professionals
- Approximately 2–3+ years of people leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and decision-making ability
- Ability to balance legal execution with team support responsibilities

Client Representation & Matter Directio n
- Direct legal strategy across a portfolio of domestic matters
- Guide clients through complex and highly personal legal situations
- Lead negotiations, court appearances, mediations, and dispute resolution efforts
- Review legal positioning and support successful case progression
- Maintain excellent responsiveness and client experience standards
Leadership & Attorney Development
- Act as a resource and sounding board for attorneys and legal staff
- Support onboarding and development of newer team members
- Encourage strong case ownership and thoughtful decision-making
- Reinforce accountability and professional standards
- Contribute to developing a strong, team-oriented environment
Practice Operations & Collaboration
- Participate in legal planning discussions and workflow initiatives
- Help identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Partner with leadership to strengthen communication and execution
- Promote consistency in work product and service delivery
