City/State: White Plains, New York Department: WPH Pharmacy_1 Work Shift: Day Work Days: 0 Scheduled Hours: Hours Vary Hours Per Pay Period: 0 Pay Rate/Range: $57.1164-$85.6749 Job Summary Under the general direction of the Director/Assistant Director/Manager of Pharmacy Services, the Registered Pharmacist provides indirect patient care. The Registered Pharmacist works with nurses, peers, physicians and other members of the healthcare team in the delivery of pharmaceutical services to patients. The Registered Pharmacist reviews the patient’s medication orders against the patient’s medication profile in accordance with hospital and pharmacy philosophy, policies and procedures and standards. The Registered Pharmacist demonstrates leadership/management skills and a commitment to customer service, professional accountability and growth. Responsibilities Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Utilize all aspects of the Pharmacy process to meet the age‑specific needs of the patient in medication education, safety and patient rights. Utilize and monitor methods of Infection Control, participate in the PI and Risk Management programs, and demonstrate competency by completing all established standards. Apply appropriate steps in the decision‑making process—recognition, data collection, priority setting, resource utilization, and offering of suggestions through collaboration with the health care team. Be productive through punctuality, observe time limits on breaks, use periods of low activity to the Pharmacy/patient benefit, manage time effectively, and maintain consistent performance ensuring social/personal activities do not interfere with work. Show interest and commitment through attendance at in‑services, participation in projects/PI, maturation toward self‑development, and maintain current required license requirements. Assume accountability for completion of competency standards, accept constructive criticism, and follow through to implement corrective measures. Be cooperative and professional while responding to change, assisting peers, and communicating effectively with the health care team. Be flexible with staffing and assignment adjustments. Maintain a positive attitude, resolve conflicts constructively, practice cost‑containment measures. Provide oversight and direction to Pharmacy Assistants & Pharmacy Transporters. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. Knowledge of medication delivery systems (medium proficiency). Medical terminology (low proficiency).
