Residential Adjunct Instructor - Maternal-Child Nursing

Maternal-Child Nursing Adjunct Instructor (Part-Time) Rasmussen University is currently seeking dynamic part‑time adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Overland Park campus. Our teaching roles allow you to continue working in the field while exploring academia and engaging the next generation of nurses. We provide courses that deliver the knowledge, clinical skills, and nursing values critical for student success. No prior teaching experience is required; training is provided. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned (on campus or at off‑site clinical partner locations). Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques; model appropriate learning skills and create an inclusive environment for a diverse student population. Create high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student‑centered learning, including synchronous learning sessions with students. Compensation, Benefits & Schedule Part‑time flexible campus and clinical‑based scheduling of 10‑15 hours per week per course. Competitive hourly rates based on course type and schedule. Documented experience in Maternal‑Child roles. One‑year clinical experience as an RN required; two years or more preferred. Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered. Official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution. Active CPR certification administered by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; faculty immunization documentation required. Pay Range The estimated hourly rate for these roles is $38.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on duties, location, skill set, experience, and other factors.
