Operations Manager

Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience Company Description FoxCo Packing is a growing food manufacturing and co-packing company specializing in liquid bottling and dry blending. We work with food and beverage brands ranging from emerging companies to established businesses that need a dependable manufacturing partner. Our capabilities include sauces, dressings, beverage bases, acidified foods, dry blends, and related packaged food products. As FoxCo grows, we are focused on building a more efficient, organized, and scalable manufacturing operation. Role Description FoxCo Packing is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day production at our Mobile facility. This person will take ownership of production scheduling, inventory readiness, employee supervision, production documentation, food-safety practices, and overall workflow. The Operations Manager will work directly with ownership and the production team to ensure jobs are properly prepared, completed safely and efficiently, and delivered according to customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage daily and weekly production schedules. Ensure ingredients, packaging, equipment, and staffing are ready before each production run. Supervise and develop production employees while maintaining clear expectations and accountability. Monitor inventory levels and identify purchasing needs before shortages affect production. Ensure production records, lot tracking, sanitation documentation, and food-safety procedures are completed consistently. Track production output, labor, downtime, yields, and other key operating metrics. Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to increase throughput and efficiency. Coordinate equipment maintenance, production issues, and facility needs with ownership and outside vendors. Qualifications Required Previous supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, food and beverage, packaging, or a similar production environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience managing employees, schedules, workflow, and competing priorities. Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of operational issues. Ability to communicate effectively with production employees, management, vendors, and customers. Comfortable working on-site and spending significant time on the production floor. Preferred Experience in food or beverage manufacturing. Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, FDA requirements, or other food-safety programs. Experience with inventory management and production planning. Experience with continuous-improvement methods such as Lean Manufacturing or 5S. Experience with production, inventory, or ERP software. Spanish-speaking ability. Experience in co-packing, liquid filling, dry blending, sauces, beverages, or packaged foods. Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
