McDonald’s USA has no control over these decisions. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to guarantee excellent quality, service and cleanliness. Shift Managers perform tasks such as: planning each shift, monitoring performance, enforcing McDonald’s standards, overseeing safety, security and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for a smooth transition. Shift Managers may also be responsible for meeting department targets and achieving overall shift goals. As a Shift Manager, You May Be Responsible For Food Safety Internal Communication Inventory Management Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness Managing Crew Quality Food Production Exceptional Customer Service Safety and Security Scheduling Training Qualifications Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with a flexible schedule who is eager to thrive in a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. Must be 18 years or older to be a manager at a corporate‑owned and operated restaurant. People who work in a McDonald’s restaurant perform a variety of daily tasks.
